Sergio Agüero reveals: Thats why FC Bayern did not bring me
In December, Sergio Agüero had to announce his early career end at a press conference. Previously, cardiac arrhythmias had been detected at the Argentine. Thus, the track of the striker ended after shining years in Spain and England in a sad way. As the 33-year-old has now revealed in the review of his career, he would almost land in Germany in the teen age – a change to Bayern failed.
We write the spring of 2006: a few months before the summer fairyt, FC Bayern works on the squad for the new season. The scouts have a talent’s eye, which has made a name for itself in Argentina. This is meant the then 18-year-old Sergio Agüero from the Club Atlético Independiente.
It was already recognizable early to see what tremendous potential in the bloodboy attacker slumbers, next to the German record champion almost all European top clubs build around him.
In the meantime, much suggests that FC Bayern receives the surcharge, on 18 April 2006, the Argentine Munichs day newspaper “Olé” opens its latest issue with the info that the deal should be in dry towels.
How Agüero has betrayed now, the flirt was actually hot between him and the Bundesliga club – until a game visit of the Munich delegation all over.
FC Bayern experienced “terrible” Agüero live
“Bayern Munich came to see me with a game against Estudiantes de la Plata. I just played terrible and they were thrilled by José Sosa. Later they bought him,” the many years of national player commented on the “Olé” – Headline had referenced.
Ultimately, Agüeros did not lead away to Munich, but to Madrid. Almost 22 million euros took Atlético back then to get the Knipser to Spain.
A worthwhile investment: In 234 inserts for Rojiblancos met the Argentine 101 times. After five years he was resold at Manchester City for 40 million euros – the rest is history.
And FC Bayern? He won the already mentioned José Sosa 2007 for nine million euros to Munich, but with the playmaker, however, was not happy at all and finally squeezed him with great loss to Italy.
From today’s perspective Agüero would certainly have been the better choice…
