Battlefield shooter could soon be a Hero

Tom Henderson has reportedly learned that the next title to be a Hero shooter like Overwatch or Apex Legends in the Battlefield series. If true, the playable characters and their respective capabilities would be more in focus. Probably would then also the great battles past, because in a Hero Shooter relatively small teams usually occur against each other. Players inside take in these specific roles (tank, healer, etc.) whose skills are essential for the outcome of a match.

Is that likely? In fact, we see in Battlefield 2042 already the first signs in this direction. The Specialists all have a backstory and different abilities that dictate a certain style of play.
