Next Battlefield is supposedly a Hero Shooter la Apex Legends

Even before the launch of Battlefield 2042 imputed Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker and industry insiders, the Battlefield franchise an identity crisis. For much the shooter oriented in other titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or the in-house Apex Legends. The final product seems Henderson, at least initially to give right and EA’s plans for a Battlefield universe (with many games) disclose to Battlefield that in a discovery phase.

Battlefield shooter could soon be a Hero

Tom Henderson has reportedly learned that the next title to be a Hero shooter like Overwatch or Apex Legends in the Battlefield series. If true, the playable characters and their respective capabilities would be more in focus. Probably would then also the great battles past, because in a Hero Shooter relatively small teams usually occur against each other. Players inside take in these specific roles (tank, healer, etc.) whose skills are essential for the outcome of a match.

Is that likely? In fact, we see in Battlefield 2042 already the first signs in this direction. The Specialists all have a backstory and different abilities that dictate a certain style of play. This reminds very much of a hero shooter, even if the differences of the characters in the huge battles not so much come into play in a small arena.

Henderson describes credible that EA is the Battlefield universe eager to tap as many modern trends. In the development of Battlefield 2042 you probably decided against Battle Royale and Hero shooter, not to scare to longtime fans. Instead, these concepts are now probably as a separate title. Money is of course the main role in this decision. Games like Fortnite and Apex Legends bring publishers for years tons a bit of money.

Although Tom Henderson is basically a relatively reliable source, these are for the time being to rumors. Especially since the leaker himself says, is that the plans of EA can change at any time. To bring a little light on the matter, we ask for you by EA, what’s with the Hero shooter Battlefield universe to itself.
